Institute of Information Systems and Applications (ISA) was founded in August 2001 ISA currently offers Master of Science degrees to some 40 students annually. Doctoral program will be established in 2003. The research in ISA focuses on Internet-based multimedia information systems and applications to meet the new challenges in today's networked society. The graduate programs is designed to offer students knowledge in many emerging fields and information professions, including digital library, e-commerce, learning technology, information and communication media, peer-to-peer computing and biomedical information systems.
The master program is carried out in three groups. In Group A, research and teaching is focus on the inner working of new computer systems. Students from all fields are admitted to Group A. Group B is more inter-disciplinary and admits students with non-engineering background. In Group C, bioinformatics is for students who are interested in study biological information.
