    Abstract: 本文將林羅山的教育思想溯源到宋明的朱子學。作者確定羅山的教育思想和活動在於善用學問以全盤改善社會,從而反映朱子學的實用性。 This article traces the educational thought of Hayashi Razan (1583-1657) to the Chu Hsi school (Shushigaku) in Sung and Ming China. It asser'ts that Razan's educational thought and activities set learning to good use for over-all social improvement which reflects the practicality of the Chu Hsi School.
