The Institute of Law for Science and Technology (ILST) was
established in 2000 under the College of Technology
Management at National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan.
Located in Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan’s Silicon Valley,
the ILST offers cutting-edge legal education essential to the
evolving global economy. The goal of the ILST is to provide
students with a solid understanding of fundamental legal
theories, as well as interdisciplinary training in law,
science, and technology. In particular, we are dedicated to
equip students with the tools needed to excel in this
increasingly competitive era of knowledge economy.
The ILST’s faculty members are renowned for both their
dedicated teaching and research capabilities. Their
expertise includes the following five areas: biotechnology
(biomedicine) and law, environmental law, info-communications
law, intellectual property law, and international and
comparative law. We offer courses corresponding to each of
the above research areas.
