1/f noise measurements performed on YBCO thin films with a long meandering line pattern show that the increased 1/f noise near the superconducting transition region is observed. In contrast, no such enhancement appears in good unpatterned YBCO thin films. The 1 m long meandering lines with different width are patterned by focused laser beam. The enhanced noise happens in the tall region, not in the transition region. It implies that the enhanced 1/f noise comes from tunneling process within weak links, not from the temperature fluctuation (dR/dT). We gave a possible explanation for this behavior. For comparison, we also present our study in Ag-doped YBCO films.
