    Abstract: The 1070 nm lasing action of Nd:GdVO4 is demonstrated for the first time to our knowledge. Using a highly wavelength-selective volumetric Bragg grating, the dominant 1063 nm lasing action is suppressed and the 1070 nm lasing is generated. The performances of this 1070 nm laser including longitudinal modes behavior and wavelength tuning are presented.
