    Abstract: In this paper, we show that the multidisk file allocation problem for multiple key hashing (MKH) files can be transformed into the multidisk file allocation problem for smaller sized MKH files. From the optimization of the newly transformed problem, a "good" or optimal allocation scheme can be easily found.
